Hey everyone!
THE FEW AND CURSED #10 👻 is now live on Kickstarter and with nearly 1000 backers in less than 72hrs!
It's the perfect opportunity to jump on a well established series or fill the gaps in your Few and Cursed collection \o/
I have been slowly chipping away at the translation of ADAGIO and taking the opportunity to truly do a rewrite from top to bottom. Because I originally wrote this back in 2018 it seems fit for me to go back and use everything I learned through the years to make it a better book.
It has been a slower process than anticipated although it shouldn't impact the calendar too much since all the artwork has been completed.
I'm also already in touch with the designer/letterer Deyvison Manes to make sure he's ready to tackle ADAGIO as soon as I finish the translation. As of right now these are our Production and Fulfillment dates:
September 15th: Rewrite/Translation completed!
Mid-September to Early October: Lettering, Design and new Artworks completed.
October 1st: BackerKit Surveys sent out
October 15th: We go to print! Digital fulfillment happens \o/
November: Books in transit from China, should take about four to six weeks
December: Fulfillment starts! This should take about two weeks so we're aiming for mid-September to be completely done
I'm being overly generous with the estimates but I'd rather surprise everyone, including myself, doing things early. As you can see we're right on the schedule proposed at the time of the campaign.

Nearly ONE THOUSAND BACKERS for a brand new graphic novel completely unrelated to The Few and Cursed and the Redhead...
That's absolutely incredible and you should all be praised for pledging and supporting this latest graphic novel by yours truly.

I really appreciate every single pledge that came in and I do not take your support lightly, you can bet the whole team will work tirelessly to deliver an amazing graphic novel.
We were THIS close to unlocking everything from Phase 1, we got so far, there was just one Stretch Goal left but you know what, here's everything unlocked, we did fantastic!
Having gone so far will surely make for gorgeous books and truly collector's items \o/
WHAT'S NEXT FOR ADAGIO?
We go to work, there's still plenty to get done before going to print even though the artwork is completely done. As I've explained in the campaign page I want to give ADAGIO an overhaul from top to bottom compared to the edition published in Brazil.
That means a complete new design, a rewrite/translation into English and a number of printing files to make sure we deliver everything promised - from the deck of cards all the way to the Die-Cut Special Edition.
Before we get started though... a little bit of business.
Please note your credit cards have been charged already and if they haven't they will be in the next few days. If there are any problems Kickstarter will automatically ask for backers to fix the issue and try again for about a week or so.
If you have any questions regarding payment please reach out directly to Kickstarter. There isn't much I can do other than check errored payments and send a message to you to try and help mediate any assistance needed with Kickstarter.
Make sure your payment methods are up to date to avoid dropped pledges.
If by any chance your pledge gets dropped and you still have an interest in your rewards, do not fret, you still count as a backer when I send out the Pledge Manager surveys via BackerKit and you will have yet another chance to correct your payment method and confirm the pledge.
WHEN WILL I BE BACK ON KICKSTARTER WITH A NEW PROJECT?
Well, sooner than you think. With The Few and Cursed #9 going to print in the next few weeks, Hidden Away halfway through production and the short film Inks shooting on July 27th, feels like we got room for one more, don't we?
The Few and Cursed #10 is coming to Kickstarter on JULY 9TH!!!
Red will not have an easy time...

It is impossible for me to guarantee there won't be any delays or challenges ahead but I'm always around, I always respond to comments or DMs and I am ready to listen.

One Stretch Goal left to unlock Phase 2! Final Hours! How far can we get?!

Hey everyone!
This is it, we're in the final hours of this absolutely stunning campaign to fund production of ADAGIO! First off let me thank every single one of you that pledged so far :D
Thank you so much for pledging and helping to get this graphic novel out into the world, it really means a lot to me to have your support!
We've unlocked one more Stretch Goal over the weekend and we have one left to completely annihilate Phase 1 getting us ready for Phase 2 and truly the sky is the limit, there really isn't any way of knowing how far we can get.
I really would love to get Bräo back on the series doing a whole new piece of art for ADAGIO, we're this close to making it happen!
And how can you help us go even further?
A number of you have pledged in the Digital level and you might want to consider upgrading that pledge to a physical copy to really take advantage of everything unlocked so far.
All three book formats now come with upgrades for a truly collector's experience and a double-sided bookmark with brand new art!
Not to mention if we get enough pledges we will be able to add an original print... and who knows maybe even more!
How do I upgrade my pledge?
Visit the project's page on Kickstarter one more time and you'll see a "Manage your pledge" green button just up top.
I've backed Death Transit Tanager 2 and this is what shows up at the top of the project's page. From there I can edit my pledge, let's go on to the next page ;)
When you click that green button you'll be redirected to your pledge's info page - payment method, reward chosen and estimated delivery.
At the bottom you can spot a Change your pledge blue button:
And voilá!
A new screen pops up where you can pick any other reward tier still available.
If you are at a digital only tier please do consider an Upgrade or even if you are getting the book in physical format but either the softcover or the retail hardcover edition, do think about the Kickstarter Exclusive edition.
It will truly be a Collector's Item and never available again :D

These final hours are always super exciting, a lot of crazy stuff has happened in the past and while it might seem impossible to go much further and unlock a lot more stuff, it could happen!

Blood of Atlantis #1: A Modern Epic Magical Adventure
Jon and I actually met at a New York Comic Con a while back and it's so cool to see him around on Kickstarter and with such a nice comic book with absolutely stunning art!
From his own page: "Blood of Atlantis #1 is a 34-page modern-day globetrotting magical adventure! It's the adventure and puzzles from Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis mixed with Dungeons & Dragons, with a dash of myth a la Gargoyles’ Avalon World Tour. In her travels, trials, and tribulations, Beatrice has come across inklings and whispers that the myths of yore weren’t exactly myths.
And the big one, the one she is setting her sights on, is Atlantis, the fabled lost city that sank beneath the waves so long ago, never to be heard from again."
MERAKI #10 - A Futuristic Odyssey Adventure Story!
This project is running side by side with ADAGIO as it also finishes up tomorrow! Fully funded and hitting Stretch Goals you might want to give a peek sooner than later before the time is up ;)

Hello my dear backers,
After our toughest period online where not a lot happens we are now getting ready to go into our final week. This means we should see a nice uptick in pledges coming in, a couple more Stretch Goals unlocked and some awesome excitement around Adagio \o/
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that have pledged already and taken us this far, you're the reason we've been so successful around here and I truly appreciate every single one of you backers!!
HEROESCON IN CHARLOTTE THIS WEEKEND!
I am going to be in Charlotte this upcoming weekend for their amazing convention HeroesCon! If you're in the area make sure to come by and say hi, I'll be there with The Few and Cursed co-creator Fabiano Neves at table AA-311 of their Artist's Alley :D
We will be more than happy to sign any books or just chat comics and film, come on by. I will also have exclusive ADAGIO post-cards to be given away for free, just for stopping by the table.
Let's kick off this Update's Spotlights with a personal favorite that I backed myself! I'm a big fan of Karl Kerschl ever since he worked on Gotham Academy, I was floored by his art, it's absolutely stunning.
This is his personal sci-fi comic series and it's no surprise it's funded and a Project We Love on Kickstarter, I highly recommend you checking it out.
From his own page: "Tanager Ray can speak to the dead. One of a handful of young women who have this strange ability, she works as a Death Transit - a ferryman for lost souls stuck between here and the afterlife.
Inspired by Metroid and Hellboy and a LOT of manga and anime, each issue of DEATH TRANSIT TANAGER is a murder mystery in space, filled with creeping dread and kinetic sci-fi action!"
Mark Russell's Traveling to Mars Exclusive Hardcover Edition
Another fully funded Project We Love from an Eisner-Award winning author, seems the perfect follow up to Karl's campaign. Another campaign that looks fantastic that definitely a closer look.
This is a special deluxe edition from a critically acclaimed series! From their own page: "Traveling to Mars introduces us to former pet store manager Roy Livingston, the first human to ever set foot on Mars. Roy was chosen for this unlikely mission for one simple reason: he is terminally ill and therefore has no expectation of returning. Roy is joined on his mission to Mars by Leopold and Albert, two Mars rovers equipped with artificial intelligence, who look upon the man as a sort of god. Against the backdrop of not only his waning days but those of human civilization, Roy has ample time to think about where things went wrong for both of them and what it means to be a dying god. I love how this Spotlight has been perfectly sci-fi oriented, we are keeping it thematically within the same playground. It's also another fully funded project so pledge with confidence the project will be delivered :)

Fearing she is a dead Ark booted by their bacteria, Hopi, Lilith's AI companion, reminds her that this is yet more proof that their exoplanet has failed the analog and is doomed to living failure. A state in which no life, not even bacteria, can survive.

Last but certainly not least, perfect way to end this Update on a high note, I introduce to you Weed, Ink & Quantum Physics, a comic book project I'm personally involved in as the editor and art director!
I was stoked to be approached by Poltergeist legendary writer Mark Victor to take his adaptation of Josh Anderson's Time of Death book series and turn it into a gorgeous comic book. With art by Carlos Reno and Dinei Ribeiro, Weed, Ink is a fun sci-fi project also fully funded and chasing Stretch Goals!
From our own page: "Weed, Ink and Quantum Physics is an imaginative, high-octane series bringing you the story of Kyle Cash, a young man who makes one regrettable decision that ultimately leads to his imprisonment, having been found guilty for the deaths of dozens of innocent people.
While in prison, Kyle encounters a mysterious visitor, who gifts him the technology to go back in time and alter the past. But he must adhere closely to the rules of time travel, or risk his survival, the lives of countless others, and even risk wreaking havoc on the future."

Hello dreamers,
Thanks so much for continuing to support ADAGIO on Kickstarter! We're currently in mid-campaign, the hardest period, and still unlocking Stretch Goals, I really appreciate all of you and your pledges \o/
Personally I'm always excited to unlock new art! It gives me the opportunity to seek out new artists and see what they come up with, especially for promotional extras like the bookmark.
It really gives artists the freedom to get truly creative! I've been toying around with some concepts for the bookmark and I can't wait to do something that truly makes good use of the double-sided aspect ;)
We've got two more Stretch Goals before moving on to Phase 2 so if you've got friends that would really dig ADAGIO make sure you share the project with them.
Keeping up with the cross-promotion with other creators currently on Kickstarter here's a well-funded project that is ending in less than 24 hours so make sure to check it out sooner than later!

Stephen Kok is an Australian comic book creator I've known for quite a while and has over 15 Kickstarter campaign under his belt. His latest is already funded, a Project We Love and chasing an awesome Stretch Goal :D
From his own page: "Transhuman follows the story of ex-soldier Rivka who has been cybernetically enhanced. When the body can be replaced what does it mean to be human?
After a brutal beating at the hands of the Russian mob, Rivka is left for dead. Her cybernetics overwhelmed by multiple electrical shocks from her attackers.
